Pyroguard’s Team Orange summits Yr Wydda (Snowdon) at sunrise for men’s mental health

Pyroguard has raised £4480 for Men’s Minds Matter after a team of employees completed a sunrise ascent of Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon) to shine a light on men’s mental health.

Twenty employees took on the nine-mile overnight hike to the summit of Wales’s highest mountain, setting off before dawn and reaching the top in time for sunrise, pausing for a moment of reflection at the peak.

The challenge was organised in memory of colleague Mikey Shoer, Pyroguard’s former Technical Sales Manager for Ireland.  Mikey was widely respected across the business and wider industry and known for his positivity, dedication and the lasting impact he had on those around him.

Neil Tilsley, Pyroguard’s COO, said:  “I couldn’t be prouder of the team’s effort and unity.  Reaching the summit at sunrise was a powerful moment and a true reflection of our team spirit.  Mikey was a valued colleague and friend, and we’re honoured to support Men’s Minds Matter in his memory while raising awareness of men’s mental health.”

Men’s Minds Matter is a UK-based suicide prevention charity dedicated to saving lives through psychological support, education and early intervention. The organisation works to support individuals experiencing suicidal thoughts, while also equipping families, friends and professionals with the tools to provide effective help.

Pyroguard remains committed to supporting initiatives that promote mental health awareness and encourage open, honest conversations across the workplace and wider industry.
