Laminated Fire-Rated Safety Glass

If you’re looking for superior protection without compromising on aesthetics, look no further than laminated fire-rated safety glass.

Designed to withstand high temperatures and prevent the spread of flames and smoke, laminated fire glass is composed of multiple glass panes bonded together with fire-resistant interlayers. It’s a highly versatile fire glass product, and one that can be created with differing thicknesses of glass and a number of interlayers to achieve different performances.

Pyroguard’s laminated fire-rated safety glass solutions are ideal for a multitude of applications and are made from one of several interlayer technologies to ensure both safety and style in your architectural designs.

Advantages of Laminated Fire Glass

Unlike monolithic toughened, ceramic or borosilicate glass, the interlayer provides insulation and radiation reduction through the reaction of the interlayer to fire.

Laminated glass, particularly multi-laminate glass, offers redundancy in the case of product failure due to the presence of additional panes and the interlayer acting as a barrier in itself.

Laminated glass also has the capability of achieving B rating impact according to EN1200 norm, which is arguably safer than both A and C ratings, alongside anti-attack properties as defined in EN356.

Laminated Fire-Rated Safety Glass Features

  • Fire Resistance: Provides protection ranging from 30 to 180 minutes, depending on specific requirements.
  • Impact Protection: Achieves impact classifications up to 1B1, ensuring durability and safety.
  • Acoustic Performance: Offers sound reduction capabilities, enhancing comfort when inside.
  • Light Transmission: Maintains high levels of natural light, with extremely high transmission rates.
