Pyroguard and Reynaers Aluminium develop CE markable solution for EI30 and EI60 external doors
Our continued collaboration with Reynaers Aluminium means for the first time we can now offer a CE markable solution for EI30 and EI60 external doors.
New tests were made in the Efectis laboratory in France with a test design developed to allow Pyroguard Protect Insulated Glass Units (IGU’s) to be installed in doors, side lights and top lights for EI30, and EI60.
We’re extremely pleased to announce both new tests successfully passed, meeting the target requirements and allowing us to gain full coverage for EI30 and EI60 in the Reynaers Aluminium system CS 77-FP.
This test success strengthens our continued partnership with Reynaers Aluminium and expands the portfolio of doors that can be glazed with Pyroguard Protect. Reynaers fabricators can now install CE marked external doors to EN 16034 standard with a large range of Pyroguard fire-rated multi-functional glazing possibilities such as Low Ug triple glazing, anti-attack counterpanes and solar control options.
Pyroguard Protect is a range of toughened fire safety glass which provides integrity and heat insulation for 30 to 180 minutes (EI Classification). The solution provides 1B1 impact classification, with high performance acoustic properties and UV stability.
