Pyroguard and Forster achieve new test success with extended solutions for steel applications

We’re delighted to share the latest results from our recent test program with Forster profile systems; significantly expanding our portfolio of fire safe solutions for steel partitions that meet an EI30 fire rating.

The program consisting of two tests were conducted at the German test laboratory, DMT with the following scope:

Test 1: Single glazed unit

  • Frame: Forster Fuego Light EI30
  • Specimen dimensions: 4820 x 5350 mm
  • Glass type: T-EI30/18-2 largest portrait pane 1500 x 3180 mm / T-EI30/18-2 landscape pane 3180 x 1440 mm / T-EI30/18-2 VF portrait pane 1620 x 1560 mm (tested in both fire exposure directions) / T-EI30/21-1 2000 x 3500 mm
  • Support structure: Concrete blockwork

Test 2: Double glazed unit

  • Frame: Forster Fuego Light EI30
  • Specimen dimensions: 4790 x 5350 mm
  • Glass type: T-EI30/18-2 VI largest portrait pane 1500 x 3180 mm / T-EI30/18-2 VI landscape pane 3180 x 1440 mm / T-EI30/21-2 VI 2000 x 3500 mm / 66.4. 55.4 and 44.2 laminated counterpanes
  • Support structure: Plasterboard support structure

The successful result means we can provide you with even more flexibility with extended glazing dimensions, glazing options, frame dimensions and installation structure types for steel partitions.
