The company has been producing fire safety glass from Haydock for over 35 years, and is proud to be extending its expertise to support the wider fire safety industry and demonstrate their commitment to promoting responsible fire safe solutions through knowledge, quality and innovation.

Leading the event was Pyroguard’s Sales and Technical team, hosted by Andy Lake, Chris Barr and Mark Leinster. The training day was designed to develop the delegates understanding of the manufacturing process of fire safety glass and highlight how Pyroguard’s fire safe solutions comply with relevant industry standards.

Speaking about the day, Connor Lafferty, Technical Fire Safety Lead Officer from Cheshire Fire & Rescue’s Protection Department said: “Today has been a great opportunity for our team to broaden their knowledge on fire safety glass. Learning about the different classifications, systems and solutions available and seeing production in full swing through a tour of the factory has been a valuable insight for the team, and something we can utilise when carrying out site visits.

“With the fire safety industry constantly evolving, new products available on the market and shifting regulations and test standards, it is vital that we keep our knowledge and understanding up to date. By doing so, we can continue to correctly advise on building safety and ensure the safety of the public.”

Andy Lake, Sales Director UK & IRE at Pyroguard added: “We were delighted to welcome the team from Cheshire Fire & Rescue to our Haydock facility. It’s incredibly important that we continue to work with and support organisations within the fire safety industry, whether locally or internationally, and share our wealth of expertise and experience, so we can work towards a safer future.”
